LaKesia Denitra Jolley-Foster, has been an educator for 26 years.  She is a 1990 honor graduate of Wilson High School (Florence, SC) and The University of South Carolina.

She has been a classroom teacher (2nd – 6th Grades), a Title I Literacy Teacher, Title I Reading Interventionist, Elementary Instructional Specialist, School Improvement Coach and Assistant Principal.  Mrs. Jolley-Foster is proudly serving as the Principal of Cradock (formerly James Hurst) Elementary in Portsmouth, VA.  

She has also served on several educational committees for the Virginia Department of Education writing curriculum, vetting assessments, and developing standards.  Mrs. Jolley-Foster  currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Children’s Engineering Council, where she has served a Program Convention Chair and President.  While serving on this board, she was recognized with the Presidential Service Award and the Award of Merit.  She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Mrs. Jolley-Foster is a native of Florence, South Carolina and is the eldest daughter of Mrs. Roy Ann Jolley and the late Mr. Freddie “Gene” Jolley.  She is married to Dr. Laguna O. Foster, a high school principal, and has two children – Zaria Alesia and Zendon Alexander and a beloved German Shepherd - Queban.  

Mrs. Jolley-Foster works diligently to model the motto for Cradock Elementary School…”ONE team…ONE mission…EXCELLENCE!”
