Eagle Nation:

We completed 180 days of instruction for the 2019-20 School Year.  Here are a few final updates to close out this school year:

➢ The office staff will return for a soft reopening on Tuesday.  Office ours for record support will continue to be 10:30am – 12:30pm.  If your child is transferring and you need copies of records, we will gladly help you acquire these documents, however you will need to schedule an appointment for pick up of these documents.

➢ Just a reminder, that registration for PPS schools will be done online.  Please visit the PPS website or the James Hurst website for the link to begin the registration process.  If you have any questions, please contact the school during our office hours.

➢ Once all retentions have been confirmed, and report cards completed, the final report cards will be mailed by the first of next week.

➢ PPS has decided to only offer virtual summer school to students in grades 3-6 who have the larger academic gaps.  A final summer school list will be finalized on Tuesday, June 16th, and those students will receive an email and/or a robo call to confirm acceptance into our first virtual summer school.  Summer School Digital Device “Walk-Up” Distribution is on Thursday, June 18th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Parents/guardians will only be able to pick up a device and must bring a valid issued ID.   Note that the time for your device pickup is based on the first letter of your last name. The pickup schedule is by last name and is as follows:

A - C 11:00 AM

D - F 11:15 AM

G - I 11:30 AM

J - L 11:45 AM

We made it through this very bizarre, roller coaster of a year.  Thank you for one exhilarating, unexpectedly bizarre, eventful first full year serving as your principal!!!  I truly believe that our students, parents/guardians and community are THE BEST!!! If you need me, please don’t hesitate to email me or call the school during our office hours.  I will try to update you as best I can as plans for the 20-21 School Year finalize.  Have a wonderful and relaxing summer. See you in September!!  Now...”Summer, summer, summertime!”

Best,

Mrs. Jolley-Foster
